4 Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns (14-15)  Direct and indirect object pronoun take the place of nouns.  Direct object pronouns directly receive the action of the verb. Adela lo practica. Adela practices tennis. Adela practices it. In negative sentences: Adela no practica el tenis. Adela no lo practica. Ejemplo: Juan y yo no tenemos los libros. Juan y yo no ____ tenemos. los

6 Direct Object Pronouns (14)  With an infinitive, you may place the DOP at the end of the infinitive ending OR before the conjugated helping verb. For example: Adela lo va a practicar. /Adela va a practicarlo. With the present progressive tense, you may add the DOP to the end of the gerund or before the conjugated form of estar. For example: Adela lo está practicando./ Adela está practicándolo.

7 Indirect Object Pronouns (14) SINGULARPLURAL meto/for menosto/for us teto/for youosto/for you all leto or for him/her/you formal (sing.) lesto/for them/you formal (pl.)  Placement in sentences of indirect object pronouns is the same as for direct object pronouns.  Both the indirect object pronoun and the person to which it refers may be used in the same sentence for clarity or extra emphasis. Use the construction a + [prepositional pronoun] Su madre les ofrece una solución a los niños.
