5 Hg: desecho peligroso a ser controlado ANEXOREFERENCIA III LISTA DE CARACTERÍS- TICAS PELIGROSAS En caso de derrame o quema se clasifica: Clase UN 6.1 H6.1 Tóxicos (venenos) agudos Sustancias o desechos que pueden causar la muerte o lesiones graves o daños a la salud humana, si se ingieren o inhalan o entran en contacto con la piel. Clase UN 9 H11 Sustancias tóxicas (con efectos retardados o crónicos) Sustancias o desechos que, de ser aspirados o ingeridos, o de penetrar en la piel, pueden entrañar efectos retardados o crónicos, incluso la carcinogenia. Teniendo en cuanta sus propiedades (bioacumulación, biomagnificación, bioconversión) Clase 9 H12 Ecotóxicos Sustancias o desechos que, si se liberan, tienen o pueden tener efectos adversos inmediatos o retardados en el medio ambiente, debido a la bioacumulación o los efectos tóxicos en los sistemas bióticos.

9 The general objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the management of products containing mercury, in particular mercury lamps, for a reduction in the risks and impacts on the environment. 1. Working Group for the Rational Management of Mercury, established and operational 2. National Mercury Inventory ( all potential sources of mercury pollution) approved by the Work Group for the Rational Management of Mercury 3. Documents on the Rational Management of Mercury Lamps are locally available 4. Regional survey (Latin America and the Caribbean) on goods containing mercury carried out 5. Results of the project distributed at national, regional and international levels 6.
