2 Spanish does not have a direct translation for To Like, the closest it has can be translated as : it is pleasing to me, you, us, him, them

3 Gustar is conjugated a little differently than most verbs. Don’t panic…

4 Use me, te, le, les or nos + gusta with a singular noun or infinitive to say “I like, you like, or we like...”

5 Ejemplos: Me gusta la playa I like the beach Me gusta caminar en el parque I like walking in the park

6 ¿Te gusta el restaurante? Do you like the restaurant? ¿Te gusta comer en casa, verdad? You like to eat at home, right?

7 Nos gusta la comida We like the food Nos gusta salir con amigos We like to go out with friends

8 Le gusta el español He/She/ Usted likes Spanish Les gusta el arte They/Ustedes like art

9 If you are talking about liking MORE THAN ONE THING… you would say: me, te, nos + gustAN

11 So, me, te,le, les and nos tell you who is doing the liking The end of gustar (gusta OR gustan) tells you how many things are being liked.

13 To say you do NOT like something, put NO in front of me, te or nos Ejemplos: No me gusta la música I do not like the music No te gusta estar en casa You do not like to be in the house No nos gustan las motos We do not like the motorcycles To remember this, think of me and gusta as one word/single verb– they are partners that cannot be separated.
