1 Hoy es lunes, el 29 de noviembre Pull out your warmup calendar and contesta las preguntas en oraciones COMPLETAS! 1. ¿Qué tienes en tu mochila? 2. ¿Cuántos pupitres hay en la clase? 3. ¿Cuántos cuadernos tienes en tu mochila? 4. ¿Tienes una calculadora grande o pequeña? 5. ¿Tenemos una computadora en la clase? 6. ¿Llegas a tiempo o tarde a tus clases? 7. ¿Sacan tus amigos buenas o malas notas? 8. ¿Quieres un armario?  Hoy:  Escritura Libre  Tarea: Layered Foldable Book – due miércoles EXAMEN (TEST) – jueves, el 2 de diciembre

2 ESCRITURA LIBRE No English words in the story except for names. Keep the sentences and story line simple. Get your story idea ahead of time. Use lists if you have them. Use words that you already know. If you don’t know a word, don’t use it or reword the idea. Use as many adjectives as possible. Spell as accurately as you can and then move on. Add another character when you get stuck. Use posters from the room as help. Illogical stories are o.k.  Follow all directions correctly as the final product will be a QUIZ GRADE!  Write without stopping for 15 minutes. Your story needs to be SCHOOL RELATED & include:  5 school related VERBS and 5 school related NOUNS (549-580)  100 words. NO LIST OF WORDS!  2 present progressives  2 irregular verbs  1 gusta/encanta used correctly

3 TIME IS UP When time is up, count the number of words and write it on the top right hand section in your composition book, with today’s date.

4 EDITING ESCRITURA LIBRE Use a green colored pencil. green = verb conjugation. ◦ Read the story – focus on verb conjugation.  Be sure the verb ending match the subject.  Present progressive – need verb estar and the 2 nd verb ending in –ando or –iendo  Irregular Verbs Use a different color – circle the 5 school related verbs, the 5 school related nouns, the 1 present progressive, 1 irregular verb & 1 gusta/encanta Be sure that the person correctly uses gusta/encanta Did they include me/te/le? Did they write gusta / encanta if it is one thing and gustan / encantan if it is more than 1 thing? Use a blue colored pencil. On bottom write azul = adjective agreement. ◦ Read the story – focus on adjective agreement.  Are adjectives after the noun they agree with?  Does the gender match? feminine/masculine  Does the number match? singular/plural

5 Hoy es martes, el 30 de noviembre  Calentamiento: Agarra una computadora – grab YOUR number – DO NOT OPEN IT YET!  Grab your composition book & look at your story & divide it into 6-7 sections (pages). EXAMEN (TEST) – jueves, el 2 de diciembre  Hoy:  MiniLibro  Tarea: Layered Foldable Book – due mañana

6 Minilibro – this is a QUIZ GRADE 1. Go to my website on the DSMS website (teacher webpages tab) 2. Download the minibook template to the desktop 3. Log into the server 4. SAVE as FIRSTNAMELASTNAME MINIBOOK to the server 5. Now you may begin to work! Type your story on the pages first! 6. Be sure you have underlined or bolded all of the required items – look at your rubric 7. NO IMAGES UNTIL ALL TEXT IS TYPED!

7 Hoy es miércoles, el primero de diciembre Hoy: Finish Minilibro Actividades de Repaso (Review Activities) – Quizlet, Conjuguemos Tarea: Estudia para el examen  Calentamiento: Agarra una computadora – grab YOUR number & begin working on your minicuento EXAMEN (TEST) – TOMORROW!

8 Minilibro – this is a QUIZ GRADE 1. Finish typing your story. 2. Be sure you have underline or bold - look at your rubric 3. Double check your grammar & spelling. 4. Add images (1 per PAGE including cover page) – Easiest if you use clipart from Microsoft. If using images from websites, you need to put where you get your images on the back of the book. 5. Count your words (not including title) and put number of words on the back cover. 6. When you finish, have someone who is finished look over it and read it and double check for errors. 7. FLIP THE BOTTOM ROW! Hold down SHIFT key and click on all images & text then rotate at one time. 8. Check with me first, then print book out, fold it and turn it in. 9. Drop the minibook in my DROPBOX as well! 10. When finished, review for tomorrow’s test on Quizlet, or Conjuguemos
