2 La vida del artista Nació en Fuendetodos, Spain. El nació en 1746. De niño Francsisco de Goya era empezo estudioso arte en Saragrosa con Jose Luzan. After studying with Luzan at age 14 he traveled to Italy to expand his study of art.

3 La vida del artista Francisco volvió a Saragossa en 1771. El pinto frescos por cathedral de Saragossa. Franciscos casado Josefa Bayeu en 1773. Tuvieron muchos los hijos, pero uno niño vivió.

4 Por diecisiete años pinto cartoons en la fábrica. This was the most important time for his artistic development. The Burial of The Sardine

5 While working in the factory, he achieved his first success and became known as a portrait painter in the aristocracy. Self Portrait in the Workshop

6 After a series of serious diseases he became deaf. He continued to paint portraits and frescos, but his style became more unique. He began to use his art to reproduce the turbulent war scenes that he himself had lived through. Witches in the Air

7 Inspiration In his early years, he was inspired by Francisco Bayeu, who was a court artist. He also was greatly inspired by the works of Rembrandt and Velázquez. The Maja And The Masked Men

8 Estilo He started using self expression after he had painted frescos for the local churches. In the second half of his life he painted everything based on inner feelings He was the first to use art as an expression of self, inner turmoil and feelings.

9 Saturn Devouring His Sons Las pinturas negras were a series of 14 dark and disturbing paintings. It seems as if they were not meant for anybody else to see but himself and they express the madness that was going on in his tormented head since his world was deafened.

10 Black Paintings The black paintings or la pinturas negras were a seris of 14 paintings that were paintings based on nightmares and inner feelings.

11 He is most known for his scenes of violence, especially those prompted by the French invasion of Spain. The Second Of May 1808
