3 Negative Informal Commands  Affirmative commands: tells someone to do something  Go! Eat! Run! …  Negative command tells them not to:  Don’t go! Don’t eat! Don’t run!

4 Forming Negative Informal Commands  To form them:  AR Verbs  1. start with no  2. drop o of yo  3. add es (opposite tú ending)  ER/IR  1. start with no  2. drop o of yo  3. add as (opposite tú ending)

6 Irregular Informal Commands  There are some verbs that do not follow these rules:  Dar- no des – don’t give  Ser- no seas- don’t be  Estar- no estés- don’t be  Ir- no vayas- don’t go
