The Imperfect Tense In Spanish, we use the imperfect tense to show things that happened repeatedly, habitually, or for an extended period of time in the past.

English Equivalent : was; were (typically with the “-ing” ending); used to Ejemplos: She was sitting; We were eating; I used to when I was young.
