We know that an adjective is a word that describes or tells more about a noun than we knew before. An adverb, of course, modifies a verb and tells how or when an action occurred. In Spanish, many adverbs are formed by simply adding the suffix -mente to an adjective. This suffix is the equivalent to the English ending -ly. El viaje a Salto Ángel que los estudiantes hicieron fue fácil. easy Ellos llegaron al sitio fácil mente. easily If an adjective requires an accent mark, the accent remains on the adverb.
