1 Waggoner’s Happenings News from Room 18 November 2010 Reading: Reading: We’ll be reading about Thomas Edison and his invention of the light bulb. We’ll also read The Chalk Box Kid and write poetry. Math: Math: We’ll continue working with money. Next, we’ll look a number patterns and making bar an picture graphs. Science: Science: We’ll be studying the types of energy: mechanical, sound, light, heat, and electrical along with activities to match. Social Studies: Social Studies: We’ll be working on map skills with each of the seven continents. This year has been a great blessing. As we enter into the Thanksgiving holiday we should take the time to remember all of the blessings that have been given to us. I have 22 of them each day. I would also like to thank each of you for attending parent conferences this past week. Your support means a great deal to me. This month (November) I encourage you and your child to think about the men and women who are serving our country. Together take time to write a letter or draw a picture for one of our soldiers. I’ll gladly send them off.

Este año ha sido una gran bendición. Como entramos en las vacaciones de Acción de gracias nosotros debemos tomar el tiempo de recordar todas las bendiciones que nos ha sido dado. Tengo 22 de ellos cada día. También me gustaría dar las gracias a cada uno de ustedes para asistir a conferencias paternales este la semana pasada. Su apoyo significa mucho para mí. Este mes (noviembre) le animo y su niño a pensar en los hombres y mujeres que sirven nuestro país. Juntos tome tiempo para escribir una carta o dibujar un cuadro para uno de nuestros soldados.
