Treatment with nebivolol lead to a significant increase in response to achetylcholine (NO-dependent) with respect to basal levels. Only treatment with nebivolol improved the vasoconstrictive response to L-NMMA with respect to forearm blood flow (FBF) levels. The administration of sodium nitroprusside was used as an endothelial independent control. Neither of the two active drugs modified vasodilation induced by sodium nitroprusside, confirming that the endothelial-independent pathway is not altered. 37 CONCLUSIONES LA DISFUNCION ENDOTELIAL DEBE SER CONSIDERA COMO UN OBJETIVO EN EL TTO ANTIHIPERTENSIVO NEBIVOLOL UNICO CON PROPIEDADES BENEFICAS Y DIRECTAS SOBRE ENDOTELIO A TRAVES DE VASODILATACION MEDIADA POR LA VIA DEL OXIDO NITRICO AUN EN PRESENCIA DE DISFUNCION ENDOTELIAL IMPACTO NEUTRO A NIVEL METABOLICO BIEN TOLERADO Y EFICAZ COMPORTAMIENTO HEMODINAMICO DISMINUCION RESISTENCIA VASCULAR SITEMICA SIN AFECTAR GASTO CARDIACO IMPACTO EN MORBIMORTALIDAD EN FALLA CARDIACA
