Infinitive Present tense of él/ella/Ud. Affirmative TÚ command form To speak He speaks. Speak only Spanish! To read He reads. Read the magazine after the homework! To write He writes. Write to your mom now! hablar Él habla. ¡Habla sólo español! Él lee. leer ¡Lee la revista después de la tarea! escribir ¡Escribe a tu mamá ahora! Él escribe. **Watch out for in the present tense! ejemplo: He plays tennis. → Play more sports! → stem-changing verbs Él juega al tenis. ¡Juega más deportes!

4 *Certain verbs have irregular command forms:
1. poner (to put; to set) → 2. hacer (to do; to make) → PON Set the table for five! → Put your clothes in your closet! → Do the homework in the office! → Make dinner tonight! → ¡Pon la mesa para cinco! ¡Pon tu ropa en tu armario! HAZ ¡Haz la tarea en el despacho! ¡Haz la cena esta noche!
