2 Hypothetical Situations Situations that are not true, but could be! (si tuviera más tiempo…) What if one of you were... –a millionaire? –a pro athlete? –a doctor?

3 Hypothetical Situations The imperfect subjunctive is used for the IF portion of the sentence The conditional is used for what one would do if that situation occurred. Si tuviera una piscina, nadaría todos los días. –If I had a pool, I would swim everyday. –Or flip it …Nadaría todos los días si tuviera una piscina.
