4 Affirmative tú Commands Accents – place the accent over the second syllable from the end of the verb before the pronoun is attached. Sacar la basura   bañarse   saca la basura sácala baña (te)báñate

6 Negative tú commands The pronouns go before the verb and after the word “NO”. Don’t read it. No lo leas. Don’t eat them. No las comas. Don’t go to bed.No te acuestes. Don’t wash your face. No te laves la cara.

8 Present Progressive Attach the pronoun to the participle (-ando or -iendo) or place it before estar. I am reading it. (the book) Estoy leyéndolo. or Lo estoy leyendo. He is shaving. (afeitarse) Él está afeitándose. or Él se está afeitando. Accent rules are the same as with commands.

10 Preterite (or present) Place pronoun before the conjugated verb or attach it to the infinitve. He read it. (the novel) Él la leyó. He had to read it. Él tuvo que leerla.
