El cocinero se cortó el dedo y se puso una curita. El cocinero se cortó el dedo y se puso una curita.  Reflexive pronoun can go just before the conjugated verb or it can be attached to the end of a gerund or infinitive. 5 Preterit of verbs like caer The i of the third person preterit endings changes to y: -ió - yó and –ieron to –yeron. In all other forms the I has a written accent mark (i) to show that the I is pronounced as a separate syllable. CAERSE ( TO FALL) Yo me caí nosotros(as) nos caímos Tú te caíste vosotros(as) os caísteis Ud. él, ella se cayó Uds. ellos, ellas se cayeron Leer and construir also have a stem that ends in a vowel and follow the same pattern as caerse.
