(The Pluperfect Tense) El Pluscuamperfecto: is the PAST tense of the Present Perfect. Present Perfect: Paco has arrived before the storm. Pluperfect: Paco had arrived before the storm. Is a compound tense (ie. takes 2 words to express action). The 2 parts of the Pluperfect are: 1. The AUXILARY VERB “HABER” (to have)- tells who HAD done the action. yo había nosotros habíamos tú habías Uds. habían Ud., él, ella había Ellos, ellas habían 2. The PAST PARTICIPLE tells “what action is completed”.
