2 Reflexive “Tense” Reflect the action that the subject is completing back to the subject. Identified by the se at the end of the infinitive. Same steps as conjugating a regular verb/stem-change verb, but you must add a reflexive pronoun. This goes before a conjugated verb & after a non-conjugated. me nos te -- se Examples: Me ducho por la mañana. Voy a ducharme por la mañana.

3 Yo ___ despierto y ___ levanto enseguida.
Mi hermano y yo ___ levantamos a la misma hora. Yo ___ lavo y luego él ___ lava. Mis amigos ___ cepillan los dientes después de cada comida. Ellos ___ lavan las manos antes de comer.

4 Tú ___ para comer (sentarse).
Usted ___ a las diez de la noche. (acostarse) Mis primos ___ Carlos y Felipe. (llamarse) Yo ___ los dientes. (cepillarse) Nosotros ___ durante una fiesta. (divertirse) Ustedes ___ los guantes. (ponerse)

Reflexive vs. Regular Reflexive: Subject IS performing AND receiving the action. Regular: Subject IS performing but NOT receiving the action. Yo ___ pongo la chaqueta. Look for shortcuts! Circle your verb Underline your subject Who/what is receiving the action? Underline it. Where am I putting the jacket? Subject underlined twice? Reflexive pronoun is needed. me

He looks in the mirror at himself. When he arrives every morning, he cleans the kitchen at the Krusty Krab. Mr. Krabs brushes Pearl’s hair. Pearl brushes her hair.
