2 Repaso: el condicional
The conditional is used to tell what would happen or what someone would do in a given set of circumstances. We also use it to say what someone would or would not like. Me gustaría ser un programador de computadoras. I would like to be a computer programmer. ¿Irías a Cuba si tuvieras la oportunidad? Would you go to Cuba if you had the chance?

There is one set of endings for the conditional tense. They are added to the infinitive of –AR, -ER, and –IR verbs. Yo sería Nosotros seríamos Tú serías Vosotros seríais Él / ella / usted Ellos / ellas / ustedes serían

Caber - cabr- Decir - dir- Haber - habr- Hacer - har- Poder - podr- Poner - pondr- Querer - querr- Saber - sabr- Salir - saldr- Tener - tendr- Valer - valdr- Venir - vendr- There are certain verbs that are irregular in the conditional tense. Instead of adding the conditional endings to their infinitive, we change the spelling of the infinitive These are the same irregulars as the future tense.

The conditional is also used with the preterite of decir to express what someone said they would or would not do. Ellos dijeron que vendrían a visitarme. They said they would come to visit me. The conditional is also used to express the probability that something happened in the past. Serían a las nueve cuando llegaron. It was probably nine when they arrived.
