2 210 Infected with outbreak strain- these are people that went to the doctor or hospital Over 100 million servings of leafy greens consumed everyday Now imagine if you were one of them How many of you take product home to your families? Imagine if it was your kid, mother, spouse, etc

3 6,300 According to the CDC, for every one person that is identified during an outbreak AT LEAST 30 more get sick that do not go to the hospital or doctor. Missed a day of work, lost a days wage. Missed their kids first tball game, birthday, etc Change plans

4 96 People hospitalized Have you ever had to stay in the hospital? Its miserable You cant sleep, food sucks, sick Then when you do get out you get the bill $$$

5 27 People developed hemolytic Uremic Syndrome, a type of kidney failure Blood transfusions, dialysis Can have long term complications like High blood pressure, pancreatitis, seizures- their lives are changed for ever

6 5 People died. 5 too many What if that was your family member? Someone you cared about?

7 This number represents a lot of things Our goal should always be that 0 people get sick CDC & FDA have 0 tolerance for food borne illness How many chances we have left- acreage lost, income lost, less jobs, etc- this will only get worse if it happens again
