2 We use a person or object +’s to indicate possession. Ex. Whose bag is this?It’s Mary’s bag. Is this Mary’s bag?Yes, it is/ No, it isn’t. With regular plural words and ending in ‘s’, put the apostrophe without the ‘s’. Ex. These are my brothers’ bedrooms. My parents’ names are Leo and Elizabeth.

3 With irregular plural forms, put the apostrophe + ‘s’ as customary. Ex. Their children’s names are Peter and Jane. The men’s clothes are dirty. With people’s names ending in‘s’, put the apostrophe + ‘s’ as customary or just an apostrophe without the s. Ex. Charles’s wife or Charles’ wife Nicolas’s brother or Nicolas’ brother
