2 Negative tú commands Use a negative tú command to tell your friend or someone you know well what NOT to do. Don’t talk, Don’t run… To form a negative tú command: 1. Put the verb in the yo form (duermo, pongo…) 2. Drop the –o 3. Add the opposite ending -es for –AR verbs -as for ER/IR verbs

With NEGATIVE commands, a pronoun MUST be placed BEFORE the command! dormirse despertarse usar ¡No te duermas! ¡No te despiertes! ¡No lo uses! Don’t fall asleep! Don’t wake up! Don’t use it!
