Has 2 parts: Part 1: A form of the verb ESTAR Part 2: The PRESENT PARTICIPLE (ends in –ndo in Spanish)

4 FORMULA: estar + present participle
ESTAR (tells WHO IS doing something) PRESENT PARTICIPLE (tells WHAT the person is DOING) Yo estoy = I am Tú estás = you are El está = he is Ella está = she is Usted está = you (formal) are Nosotros estamos = we are Ellos/as están = they are Ustedes están = you (all) are -ar verb: drop –ar and add –ANDO -er or - ir verb: drop er/-ir and add –IENDO

Is a structure used to talk about what someone is going to do in the near future. The form of ir expresses who is going A expresses TO The infinitive expresses what the person is going to do.
