7 Spell Changers When the stem of a an –ir verb (with the exception of verbs ending in –guir) or the stem of an –er verb ends in a vowel (i.e. traer, leer, contruir, oir), the ending is: –yendo NOT-iendo The verb ir (to go) simply becomes yendo

8 Reflexive Verb Rules The reflexive pronoun can come before estar, continuar, or seguir, OR attached to the present participle (an accent mark is needed on the 3 rd vowel from the end to maintain stress) –Me estoy duchando o Estoy duchándome
