Preterite i > y Stem Change Verbs
Certain verbs require a special spelling change. The i becomes y in the Ud/él/ella and Uds./ellos/ellas forms.

LEER= to read leí leíste leyó leímos leísteis leyeron

CAERSE= to fall down me caí te caíste se cayó nos caímos os caísteis
se cayeron

CREER= to believe, to think
creíste creyó creímos creísteis creyeron

OÍR= to hear oí oíste oyó oímos oísteis oyeron

DESTRUIR= to destroy destruí destruiste destruyó destruimos
destruisteis destruyeron

CONCLUIR= to conclude concluí concluiste concluyó concluimos
concluisteis concluyeron
