pasado hoy futuro The present progressive describes an action that is in process at the moment we are talking. Por ejemplo: I am listening. We are writing ¡ahora mismo!

3 ¿En inglés o en español? In English you can say:
I am working right now or I am working tomorrow *** In Spanish you cannot do this. The progressive in Spanish is ONLY used to describe an action that is in process at the moment we are talking (ahora mismo). Estoy trabajando ahora mismo.

(gerund / gerundio) Used to express -ing To form the present participle: For -AR verbs Take off the -AR and add -ANDO For -ER / -IR Verbs Take off the -ER or -IR and add -IENDO

When the stem of an -ER or -IR verb ends in a vowel, use -YENDO Infinitivo Participio leer leyendo vowel caer cayendo oír oyendo

Use ESTAR and the PRESENT PARTICIPLE together To say: He is walking. Él está caminando. She’s working. Ella está trabajando. I am writing. Yo estoy escribiendo. We are sleeping Nosotros estamos durmiendo.

12 Attached to the end of the PRESENT PARTICIPLE
Pronouns Pronouns can be placed either . . . Before the conjugated form of ESTAR Me estoy arreglando. Attached to the end of the PRESENT PARTICIPLE Estoy arreglándome When you attach the pronoun, you must add an accent to the stressed vowel.
