2 The imperfect tense is used for several things: 1.To describe what somebody or something was like Hacía mucho sol durante la semana. Era viejo.

3 2.What used to happen Veíamos la tele cada día. Vivía en Nueva York durante muchos años. Nadaba en la piscina del hotel.
