I. Formas AR verbs- Drop the AR ending from the infinitive, and add:
-é -amos -aste -ó -aron

Drop the ER or IR ending from the infinitive, and add: -í -imos -iste -ió -ieron

II. Usos To describe actions or events that happened in the past.
To emphasize that past actions were completed at a specific point (period of time) in the past.

III. Ejemplos 1. Ayer, yo tomé los antibióticos. (Yesterday, I took the antibiotics.) 2. El verano pasado, nosotros comimos ensalada. (Last summer, we ate salad.) 3. El martes pasado, el doctor escribió la receta. (Last Tuesday, the doctor wrote the prescription.
