1 What is Title I? ¿Qué es Título I?
The Title I program is a federally funded program which enables schools to provide programs and services to students that help them master content standards (TEKS) and meet the challenges of state performance standards (STAAR). ¿Qué es Título I? Título I es un programa pagado con fondos federales para ayudar a los estudiantes con programas y servicios educativos a aprender los objetivos académicos (TEKS) y aprobar con éxito el éxamen estatal (STAAR).

2 Who Benefits? The Title I program benefits all students in the school. This program allows schools to use Title I funds to pay for educational programs for the whole school. This program offers services and programs that can help improve your child’s education.

Este programa permite que se adquieran programas educativos con fondos de Título I para el uso de la escuela. 6 Title I Schoolwide Program Offers:
Parental Involvement activities and workshops. Supplemental instructional supplies and materials for classroom use for Reading and Math. School Support Staff (Instructional Specialist, Skills Specialist and Highly Qualified Tutors for Interventions). Instructional support for extended week tutorials, as well as summer school. Professional development for teachers

7 El Programa Título I ofrece:
Actividades y talleres para la Participación de Padres. Útiles y materiales para la instrucción de la clase en el uso de Lectura y Matemáticas. Especialistas de Instrucción para Intervenciones (personal certificado, especialistas de lectura y matemáticas y tutores especializados para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes. Apoyo de instrucción para tutorías de semana extendida, y también escuela de verano. Talleres de capasitación para maestros.

8 Title I at Johnson Elementary
We are a Title I campus and receive funding that is used to provide support to our students. This year funds are being used to provide additional staff to assist with tutoring groups, small group lessons, and whole group instruction. In addition our needs assessment determined that funds will be used to support additional technology and classroom material for core subject areas. Título I en la Escuela Johnson Johnson es una escuela Título I. y por esta razon recibimos fondos que se usan para ayudar y apoyar a nuestros estudiantes. Este año estamos usando los fondos para tener mas personal para asistir con grupos de tutorías, lecciones de grupo pequeño e instrucción de grupo completo. Nuestra evaluación anual determinó que los fondos se utilizarán para comprar material adicional de tecnología y materiales didácticos para materias de lectura y matemáticas.

15 Become active in the program!
Attend school activities and events. Volunteer. Visit the campus. Talk to your child about school. Provide a place for your child to do homework. Show the parents how to access the district webpage: Volunteers must complete the Volunteer Criminal Background Check Authorization Form on the districts webpage. At this present time, volunteers are not allowed in the classrooms. All volunteers will need to check in with the front office and will be assigned a task for the day. Visiting the Campus Ms. Rodriguez will provide you with your raptor tag (your driver’s license is required) when visiting for breakfast or lunch. Ms. Rodriguez will direct you to the front office if you have a parent conference or other appointment on the campus. You will escorted to the classroom or appointment by a staff member
