OBJECTIVE: TLW: examine and differentiate between the various forms of adjectives in Spanish. TLW also learn what gender and number of nouns is. The goal of this lesson is to determine how to correctly make nouns and adjectives agree in gender and number. WHAT IS NOUN AND ADJECTIVE AGREEMENT? In Spanish, all nouns have gender; this is how we classify nouns. In Spanish, all nouns and adjectives MUST agree in Gender and Number. There are 2 groups of nouns in Spanish; Feminine nouns and Masculine Nouns. El/Los/Un/Unos=Masculine Nouns La/Las/Una/Unas=Feminine Nouns Is=es. Are=son. An L. Ford Production 2018

SENTENCE ORDER HOW TO ARRANGE THE SENTENCES:
If you have a COMPLETE SENTENCE (a subject and a verb), you keep the original order of the sentence; Do NOT change the order. EJEMPLO: The fur coat is red and black. -El abrigo de pieles es rojo y negro. 2. If you have a FRAGMENT (an incomplete sentence, it has a subject, but no verb), you will change it; you will move the NOUN in front of the ADJECTIVE. Noun- person, place, thing Adjective- A word that describes (modifies) a noun Agreement- To agree means to “match”. In Spanish, all nouns and adjectives must agree in gender and number Gender- A classification (grouping) of nouns. All nouns are either masculine or feminine Number- Tells if a noun is singular or plural

Definite Articles- There are 4 definite articles in Spanish (el,la,los,las). They ALL mean “the”. Definite articles tell you the gender and the number of the noun. How do you know which one to use? Un and una both mean “a/an.” Unos and unas both mean “some.”

How to pluralize nouns If a noun ends in a vowel, add -s.
If a noun ends in a consonant, add -es. If a noun ends in a -z, change the z to c, then add –es. If a noun ends in ión, drop the accent mark, then add -es.
