3 2 Commands and Pronouns We still conjugate the command like normal. We have to see whether the command is POSITIVE or NEGATIVE. How can we tell if it is positive or negative?

4 3 A negative command has a negative word in it (such as no or nunca). ¡No comas más! ¡Nunca hables con extranjeros! A positive command does not have a negative word (duh!) Commands and Pronouns

5 4 NEGATIVE COMMANDS, we put the pronoun before the verb! Ex: No me llames esta noche. Ex: ¡No te duches ahora! POSITIVE COMMANDS, we attach to the verb! (and we must add an accent mark to maintain the original stress) Ex: Por favor, llámame. Ex: ¡Dúchate pronto! ***THE REFLEXIVE PRONOUN WE USE FOR TÚ COMMANDS IS ______. Pronoun Placement

6 5 THE ACCENT ALWAYS GOES ON THE SECOND TO LAST SYLLABLE OF THE ORIGINAL WORD! ¡Accent placement!
