1 Presente Progresivo Steps
Is a verb tense that is used to express an activity in progress..... It is the same as the “ing” (Gerund) in english Steps 1. Find your subject 2. Conjugate the verb “estar” 3. Then go to the infinitive of the 2nd verb: ar – drop the ar add “ANDO” – hablar – hablando er/ir – drop the er/ir add “ iendo” - comer - comiendo -recibir - recibiendo This is now the “present Participle” of the verb 4. Irregular rules ONLY with er/ir verbs: if you drop the ending and you are left with a vowel then change the “iendo” to “yendo” Example: leer – le + yendo = leyendo

If the verb ends in a vowel after you remove the ending example: leer/le/leyendo Venir – viniendo Dormir – durmiendo Pedir - pidiendo Please ignore any verb that ends in “se” we will cover that next semester.
