2 Used for… An immediate past. No he comido porque acabo de llegar. (I have not eaten because I have just arrived.) A past inhabited by the speaker. He tenido mucho sueño. (I have been very sleepy) Information independent of time. No he hablado a María. (I haven’t talked to Maria.) A psychologically or emotionally linked past. He perdido a mi abuelita hace diez años. (I lost my grandmother ten years ago.)

3 Haber + past participle
Conjugating haber in the present tense (yo) he (tú) has (él, ella, usted) ha (nosotros, nosotras) hemos (vosotros, vosotras) habéis (ellos, ellas, ustedes) han I have You have (informal, singular He, she, it has; you have (formal, singular) We have You have (informal, plural) They have; you have (formal, plural)

4 Forming Past Participle
AR Verbs: Substitute –ar with –ado. ER or IR Verbs: Substitute –er or –ir with –ido.

5 Present Perfect: Cantar, Aprender, Vivir
