Los Verbos Reflexivos
2
To say that people do something for themselves, you use reflexive verbs.
You know the verb is reflexive if its infinitive form ends with the letters “se.”
3
The reflexive pronouns in Spanish are “me, te, se, nos, os”
Each pronoun corresponds to a different subject.
4
I wash my car often = non reflexive I wash my hair often = reflexive
Some verbs have both reflexive and non-reflexive forms and usages. Non reflexive form = if action is being done to someone, something else. I wash my car often = non reflexive I wash my hair often = reflexive
5
You can put the reflexive pronouns before the verb or attach them to the infinitive.
secarse = to dry plural singular (yo) me seco (nosotros) nos secamos (nosotras) (tú) te secas (vosotros) os secáis (vosotras) (él) (ella) se seca (Ud.) (ellos) (ellas) se secan (Uds.)
