Reflexive v. Non reflexive
Some verbs have both reflexive and non-reflexive uses. It is up to the speaker to find out if it is necessary to use the reflexive pronoun or not. Lavo el perro I wash the dog Me lavo las manos I wash my hands Nostros secamos la ropa We dry the clothes Nos secamos las manos We dry our hands

Reflexive Verbs When using a reflexive verb with a body part or clothing, don’t forget to use the definite articles (el, la, los, las) Ejemplos: Él se lava los pies. Ella se limpia las manos. Tú te cortas el pelo.

En final … Reflexive pronouns can be written before the conjugated verb or attach them to the infinitive of the verb. Typically there is another verb being used in the sentence. Ejemplos: Te vas a cortar el pelo. Se tiene que duchar. Tengo que cortarme las uñas.
