Week of February 6th-10th  Upcoming Events The Teacher’s Scoop! Dear Parents, I hope everyone had a great weekend! This week we learned how to tell and write time to the hour and half-hour, wrote about “Groundhog Day”, learned about syllables, practiced our handwriting, etc. Note: I will not be here Friday, 10th due to being at a Reading Workshop! Feb 15th – Early Release Day Feb 23rd – Progress Reports Spelling Words: cute, nice, page, place, use, ice, cage, face, racing, chasing, from, her, little Sentences: 1. She got her cute little pup from me. 2. We will race to the lake. The Spelling Test will be on Thursday!  What We Are Learning Next Week Reading: Drawing Conclusions Daily 5: Writing about “What if I were 100…. “ , continuing Guided Reading Groups, Word Work, and Read to Self LetterLand: Syllables and understanding spoken words and sounds (phonemes) Math: Continuing Time and using data from real graphs Ksgiving WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK Star Student of the Week Snack Reminder Monday – Madison Tuesday – Brooke Wednesday – Kelly Thursday – Jennera Friday – Lily On your child’s snack day, please send enough snacks for 21 students. Remember, the entire class depends on your child to bring snack!  Brooke

Semana del 6 al 10 de febrero ~ Próximos eventos La primicia de profesores! Estimados Padres, Espero que todos hayan tenido un gran fin de semana! Esta semana aprendimos a contar y escribir tiempo a la hora y media hora, escribimos sobre "Día de la Marmota", aprendimos sobre las sílabas, practicamos nuestra escritura, etc. Nota: No estaré aquí el viernes 10 debido a estar en una Taller de lectura! 15 de febrero - Día de salida anticipada 23 de febrero - Informes de progreso Lo que estamos aprendiendo la próxima semana Ortografía palabras: cute, nice, page, place, use, ice, cage, face, racing, chasing, from, her, little oraciones: 1.
