1 AV2 1.1 Notas Gramaticales What is a noun?
It is a word that represents a person, place or a thing. Example: My mom is at our house in Rialto. What is a pronoun? It replaces the noun in a sentence. Example: She is in it.

2 What is a direct object? It is a noun that is directly related to the verb. It answers the question what or whom in relation to the verb. Example: In the sentence Juan takes the books to school, the noun books is directly related to the verb takes and the noun school is not. So the direct object is: The books. It also answers the question WHAT? Juan takes what?

3 Direct object pronouns
Me, te, lo, la, los, las, nos are direct object pronouns in Spanish that can replace a direct object in a sentence. The most commonly used ones are: LO, LA, LOS, and LAS.

Indirect object Is indirectly related to the verb. It answers the question to whom or for whom.

12 The indirect object pronouns
Me Te Le Nos Les and SE* (replaces le and les when combined with direct object pronouns lo, la, los or las)

13 To me or for me = ME To or for him/ her/ you formal = LE To us or for us = NOS To or for them or you all = LES

14 The pronoun SE Is used tos replace LE or LES when combined with the direct object pronouns Lo, Las, los and Las In Spanish, the verbs such as GUSTAR uses the indirect object. Example: Me gusta el chocolate. Chocolate is pleasing to me.
