6 Direct objects recieve the action
In Spanish the object comes before the verb: Me gusta = I like Literal translation: Me gusta= me it pleases Te amo = I love you You I love Me and Te are objects

7 What is the direct object of this valentine que está en la derecha?
The directo object is te (you).

8 Direct objects lo, la, los y las
(yo)Compré un nuevo bolso. Lo compré en la liquidación anoche. I bought it (lo) in the sale last night. The direct object (it)is lo because it refers to bolso which is masculine and singular

9 Direct objects lo, la, los y las
(tú) Compraste una corbata amarillo. La compraste ayer. (I bought it (la)yesterday. The direct object (it) is la because it refers to una corbata which is feminine and singular.

10 Finish worksheet P. 135 and 133 #1 and #8 have direct objects
Lo compré hace una semana. = I bought it one week ago.

11 Valentines and sentences
1)You are going to make 4 complete Spanish valentines (for a grade of course). 2) Write 5 sentences talking about shopping in the past. Use the ellos form (aron) y the verbs: comprar, ir (to go) de compras, gastar, encontrar and buscar. Those who remain in their seats working and using Spanish might be excused from second assignment.

12 ¿Qué quiere decir? Look at the back of the valentine greeting list. Can you figure out any of the (rather rude) valentine expressions?

13 Valentines Use the colors stated on the next slide.
Use your sheet to write a message in Spanish on the back of each.

14 Valentines 1) Colorea la mona (monkey) marrón y amarillo y los corazones (hearts) verdes 2) Colorea el perro (dog) morado, rosado y negro y los corazones azules. 3) El conejo: Colorea la cara (face) gris, los orejas (ears) rosadas, los ojos azules y la nariz (nose) negro. Colorea los corazones rojos. 4) El león – colorea cómo tu quieres ( however you want to). Write a message on the back.
