1.) Decide what kind of verb you have (AR/ER/IR) 2.) Decide what pronoun you are conjugating for 3.) Drop the ending 4.) Add the new ending that matches your pronoun

4 AR VERBS Yo -o Nosotros/Nosotras -amos Tú -as Él/Ella/Usted -a
Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes -an

5 ER/IR VERBS Yo -o Nosotros/Nosotras -emos -imos Tú -es Él/Ella/Usted
Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes -en

6 Yo (cocinar) Ellos (leer) Tú (escribir) Usted (bailar)

7 Irregular Verbs Don’t follow the normal patterns of conjugation

13 Irregular Verb Structures
Ir+ a+ infinitive= am/is/are going to… Yo voy a comer en un restaurante I am going to eat in a restaurant. *DO NOT CONJUGATE SECOND VERB! Querer+ infinitive= want to Ella quiere bailar con Channing Tatum. She wants to dance with Channing Tatum. Tener + que + infinitive= have to… Nosotros tenemos que estudiar para el examen. We have to study for the test.
