Students will review the present indicative tense in Spanish Students will review stem-changing verbs in the present indicative in Spanish Students will be able to conjugate verbs correctly into the present indicative in Spanish Students will begin review of some Spanish pronouns

¿adónde? to where? ¿de dónde? from where? ¿cómo? how? ¿dónde? where? ¿cuál? ¿cuáles? which? ¿por qué? why? ¿cuándo? when? ¿qué what? ¿cuánto/a? how much? ¿quién? who? ¿cuántos/as? how many? ¿quiénes? All question words in Spanish have a WRITTEN accent!

4 Sustantivos y artículos
Remember Spanish nouns are either masculine or feminine, and singular or plural. Nouns: most nouns ending in o are masculine and most nouns ending in a are feminine. The definite articles el and los accompany masculine nouns; la and las accompany feminine nouns. singular plural el alumno los alumnos la amiga las amigas el curso los cursos la escuela las escuelas

5 adjetivos An adjective must agree with the noun it describes or modifies. Adjectives that end in o have four forms. The verbs ser and estar both mean to be. SER ESTAR D = describe trait H = health O = origin A = action (is doing something) N = noun L = location T = time, date F = feeling B = belonging

10 Adjetivos posesivos ¿De quién? = Who does is belong to?
Review the forms of the possessive adjectives mi, tu and su ¿Dan una fiesta tu hermana y tus primos? Sí, mi hermana y mis primos dan una fiesta. Todos sus amigos van a recibir una invitación a su fiesta. The possessive adjectives nuestro and vuestro have four forms. Nuestro primo, nuestra tía, nuestras sobrinas y nuestros abuelos viven todos en Madrid? Vuestro equipo, vuestra clase, vuestras familias y vuestros amigos están todos invitados a la Noche de las Estrella en febrero.
