The application of a scholarship of engagement is even more perplexing. Although topics surrounding community engagement in higher education is widely studied, the UFH experience concurs with √Gelmon et al. (2012:22) who argue that many academics and scholars are left to own devices with little support on how to integrate engaged scholarship.
