is= es are= son If it is a COMPLETE SENTENCE, keep everything in order. A Complete sentence has a subject (clothing article) and a verb (is or are). if it is a FRAGMENT, place the noun in FRONT of the ADJECTIVE.

3 septiembre 2008 Noun- person, place, thing Adjective- A word that describes (modifies) a noun Agreement- To agree means to “match”. In Spanish, all nouns and adjectives must agree in gender and number Gender- A classification (grouping) of nouns. All nouns are either masculine or feminine Number- Tells if a noun is singular or plural

3 Definite Article- there are 4 definite articles in Spanish (el,la,los,las). They all mean “the”. Definite articles tell you the gender and the number of the noun el- (masculine/singular word for “the”) la- (feminine/singular word for “the”) los- (masculine/plural word for “the”) las- (feminine/plural word for “the”)

4 Indefinite Articles- There are 4 indefinite articles in Spanish (un,una,unos,unas). They all mean “a, an, or some”. They also tell you the gender and number of a noun. un- (masculine/singular word for “a/an”) una- (feminine/singular word for “a/an”) unos-(masculine/plural word for “some”) unas- (feminine/plural word for “some”)

9 How to make nouns plural
If a noun ends in a vowel, add -s. If a noun ends in a consonant, add -es. If a noun ends in a -z, change the z to c, then add -es. If a noun ends in ión, drop the accent mark, then add -es.
