AR verbs get –emos Hablar  Habl-  Hablemos  Hablemos sobre la fiesta (let’s talk about the party) Comprar  compr-  compremos  compremos ropa nueva (let’s buy new clothes) Llamar _________________a Abuela! (let’s call grandma) Viajar  __________________a Europa! (let’s travel to Europe)

--ER / -IR verbs get –amos Correr  Corr-  Corramos  Corramos en el parque (let’s run in the park) Compartir  Compart-  Compartamos  Compartamos el helado (let’s share the ice cream) Decidir – __________en el restaurante (let’s decide on a restaurante) Dormir – __________en la tienda de campana (let’s sleep in the tent Mover – __________a una mesa nueva (let’s move to a new table)

6 Los negativos To form the negative command, put “___” in front of the command No comamos aqui (let’s not eat here) No nademos en agua frío (let’s not swim in cold water)

7 When used reflexively…
If the verb is used reflexively, the “let’s do it” command ends in –nos Sentar  _________________________________(let’s sit) Note that the middle “s” got dropped Also note the need for accents to maintain pronunciation Ir  Vamos + nos = _______________ de aquí (let’s get out of here; let’s go) In negative reflexives, the __________________________ No + acostarse= no ___________acostemos (let’s not go to bed)

8 -car / -gar / -zar -car ; -gar ; -zar verbs will require spelling changes for pronunciation consistency -car  _____ (tocar /toquemos) -gar  _____(jugar/juguemos) -zar  ______ (almorzar/almorcemos)
