LA ORGANIZACIÓN DEL CUERPO HUMANO
3º ESO “Biología y Geología” SECCIONES EUROPEAS IES “IZPISÚA BELMONTE” Profesora: Milagros López García
2
3
Remember The cell is the unit of organization of living beings and what makes them work. The cell is the smallest living unit. “The cell is the fundamental unit of structure and function in living organisms. All cells arise from pre-existing cells by division” (Cell theory)
4
“Cells carry out three vital functions: nutrition, interaction and reproduction”
5
Remember There are two types of cells: Prokaryotic cells: Bacteria
Eukaryotic cells: Algae, Protozoa, Fungus, Plants and Animals
6
Review All living beings are made from cells. Unicellular organisms are made from one cell. Multicellular organisms are made from many cells.
7
We are multicellular and eukaryotic organisms.
Remember We are multicellular and eukaryotic organisms.
8
Remember CELL STRUCTURE Most cells contain: a nucleus to control cell
a thin membrane to control what goes in and out of the cell a liquid cytoplasm where chemical reactions happen
9
SPECIALISED CELLS “Multicellular organisms are made of different types of cell. Each type of cell has its own function and is adapted to carry out this function”

LEVELS OF ORGANIZATION IN HUMAN BODY
Cells are the building blocks of all living organisms. A tissue is a group of similar specialised cells working together. An organ is made from different tissues working together An organ system is a group of organs working together A living organism is a group of organ systems working together.
