2 Recuerda Todos los seres vivos están constituidos por CÉLULAS. La célula es la unidad mínima dotada de vida. “Es la unidad estructural, funcional y genética de todos los seres vivos” (Teoría celular)

3 Remember The cell is the unit of organization of living beings and what makes them work. The cell is the smallest living unit. “The cell is the fundamental unit of structure and function in living organisms. All cells arise from pre-existing cells by division” (Cell theory)

4 Remember Las células realizan las tres funciones vitales: se nutren, se relacionan con el medio y se reproducen. “Cells carry out three vital functions: nutrition, interaction and reproduction”

5 Remember There are two types of cells: Prokaryotic cells: Bacteria
Eukaryotic cells: Algae, Protozoa, Fungus, Plants and Animals

6 Review All living beings are made from cells. Unicellular organisms are made from one cell. Multicellular organisms are made from many cells.

9 ESPECIALIZACIÓN CELULAR
Los organismos pluricelulares están formados por diferentes tipos de células. Cada tipo celular está adaptado a realizar una función concreta en la que se especializan. SPECIALISED CELLS “Multicellular organisms are made of different types of cell. Each type of cell has its own function and is adapted to carry out this function”

Células: Unidad estructural de todo ser vivo Tejidos :Conjunto de células del mismo tipo especializadas en una función determinada Órganos: Conjunto de diferentes tejidos que desempeñan una función concreta Aparatos o sistemas: Conjunto de varios órganos cuyas funciones coordinadas realizan una función mayor. Organismo: Conjunto de todos los aparatos o sistemas.

Cells are the building blocks of all living organisms. A tissue is a group of similar specialised cells working together. An organ is made from different tissues working together An organ system is a group of organs working together A living organism is a group of organ systems working together.
