2 Hoy repasamos las conjugaciones de los verbos regulares en el presente. -what is happening, what one does…etc. ( I eat, I am eating…etc)

10 Verbos reflexivos/ reflexive verbs A reflexive verb is used to indicate that the action of the verb is done to oneself. – I wash my hands. – I brush my teeth. – You sit down. – You go to bed. You will know a verb is reflexive by the SE attached to the infinitive.

11 The reflexive pronouns are: MeNos TeOs Se

12 Conjugate the verb as normal and add the reflexive pronoun. Ejemplo: cepillarse Me cepilloNos cepillamos Te cepillasOs cepilláis Se cepillaSe cepillan

13 Position of reflexive pronouns When one verb in the sentence, the pronoun goes before the verb. When more than one verb, the pronoun can go before the verb or attach to the end of the infinitive. When using a present participle (-ando/ - iendo) the pronoun can be attached.

14 Ejemplos: 1.Yo me cepillo los dientes. (1verb) 2.a. Yo me voy a cepillar los dientes. (2 verbs) b. Yo voy a cepillarme los dientes. 3.a. Yo me quiero cepillar los dientes. (2 verbs) b. Yo quiero cepillarme los dientes. 4. a. Yo me estoy cepillando los dientes. b. Yo estoy cepillándome los dientes. (present participle)

15 Práctica: Conjuga los verbos con cepillarse 1.Juan ____________ los dientes. (present) 2.Juan ____________ los dientes. (ir + a + infinitive) 3.Juan _____________ los dientes. (present progressive)
