3 Interesar y Aburrir The verbs interesar and aburrir function the same in Spanish and English. The verbs are conjugated in the él/ella/Ud. or the ellos forms for the item/thing NOT the person: Art interests me El arte me interesa History bores me La historia me aburre Sports interest me Los deportes me interesan Books bore me Los libros me aburren

5 El verbo gustar The verb gustar acts the same as interesar and aburrir. Gustar conveys the same meaning as to like in English, but it literally means to please. Just like the previous two verbs, gustar will be conjugated in the él or the ellos forms. I like this class me gusta esta clase I like dogs me gustan los perros
