Torah is often understood and translated as “Law” Torah directly is understood as “instructions” It is referred to as the five books of Moses (Gen-Deut.) Also the Pentateuch in Greek Sometimes Torah is simply referred to as “Moses” The Torah was always an oral instruction until Moses penned it down sometime between 1280-1441BCE.

Parsha is Hebrew for “Portion.” It is a systematic breakdown of the Torah scriptures into weekly readings or portions. It is read in Jewish Synagogues and homes every Sabbath. The regular public Parsha reading is said to have begun with the scribe Ezra in 537 BCE and can be read about in Nehemiah 8. Prior to Ezra the reading of the Torah publicly was a commandment from Deut. 31:10-13. Since the days of King David Synagogues were a gathering place (Psa. 74:8) to read and teach the Torah In the days of Yeshua the Torah was still taught and read (Matt. 13:24, 4:23, Mar. 1:39, Luke 4:16-21, Acts 15:21).

Yeshua read and taught from the Torah- Luke/Lucas 4:16-18 “And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah...” 16 Vino a Nazaret, donde se había criado; y en el día de reposo entró en la sinagoga, conforme a su costumbre, y se levantó a leer. 17 Y se le dio el libro del profeta Isaías; y habiendo abierto el libro, halló el lugar donde estaba escrito: 18 El Espíritu del Señor está sobre mí,Por cuanto me ha ungido para dar buenas nuevas a los pobres;Me ha enviado a sanar a los quebrantados de corazón; A pregonar libertad a los cautivos,Y vista a los ciegos;A poner en libertad a los oprimidos;

The Disciples also read & taught Torah every Sabbath day [Act 15:21 ESV] 21 For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.“ 21 Porque Moisés desde tiempos antiguos tiene en cada ciudad quien lo predique en las sinagogas, donde es leído cada día de reposo.

What is the purpose of the Torah for the New Covenant believer? 1John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Romans 14:23 …whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ (Yeshua Messiah) our Lord.

Is the Law sin? Was it canceled or nailed to the cross? Romans 3:20 …for by the law is the knowledge of sin. …porque por medio de la ley es el conocimiento del pecado. Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 7 ¿Qué diremos, pues? ¿La ley es pecado? En ninguna manera. Pero yo no conocí el pecado sino por la ley; porque tampoco conociera la codicia, si la ley no dijera: No codiciarás. Coloss. 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Is the Law sin? Was it canceled or nailed to the cross? 14 anulando el acta de los decretos que había contra nosotros, que nos era contraria, quitándola de en medio y clavándola en la cruz, Coloss 2:14 NLT He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. Romans 3:19 NLT Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God. 19 Pero sabemos que todo lo que la ley dice, lo dice a los que están bajo la ley, para que toda boca se cierre y todo el mundo quede bajo el juicio de Dios;

Romans 3:20a Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: 20 ya que por las obras de la ley ningún ser humano será justificado delante de él; [Gal 2:16 ESV] 16 yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

[Gal 3:24-25 KJV] 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

[Jhn 14:26 ESV] 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. [Jhn 16:8 ESV] 8 And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 8 Y cuando él venga, convencerá al mundo de pecado, de justicia y de juicio.

[Jer 31:31, 33 ESV] 31 "Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah,... 33 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 31 He aquí que vienen días, dice Jehová, en los cuales haré nuevo pacto con la casa de Israel y con la casa de Judá. 33 Pero este es el pacto que haré con la casa de Israel después de aquellos días, dice Jehová: Daré mi ley en su mente, y la escribiré en su corazón; y yo seré a ellos por Dios, y ellos me serán por pueblo.

[1Jo 2:3-6 ESV] 3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 Whoever says "I know him" but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, 5 but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: 6 whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.

The Torah is the way or instructions of righteousness The Torah is NOT sin but defines sin The Torah does not save us but points to our salvation and need of a savior The Torah makes us guilty before God- the whole world not just the Jews If the Torah only applies to the Jews then how can the whole world be guilty? The Torah is our schoolmaster that leads us to Yeshua The Holy Spirit is our Instructor & convicts us of sin The Torah is written on our hearts- this is the Renewed covenant!

The skies over the North Pole will darken for two minutes on Friday, March 20th at 10:18 AM Greenwich Mean Time Spring Equinox 1 st Day of Nissan/Aviv

A total solar eclipse at the North Pole on the first day of spring occurs once every 100,000 years. For it to occur on the first day of the first month of the Biblical calendar year is, however, entirely unprecedented since this is only the year 5775 according to Jewish tradition, meaning that there has never been such a solar occurrence in human history. http://www.breakingisraelnews.com [Jer 6:1 ESV] 1 Flee for safety, O people of Benjamin, from the midst of Jerusalem! Blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and raise a signal on Beth- haccherem, for disaster looms out of the north, and great destruction.
