Nigeria ha experimentado algunos conflictos y inestabilidad que han dañado su imagen y también volvió el desarrollo humano de los más grandes de la población entre los países africanos A BIEF HISTORY: Nigeria inherited foreign languages and religion, apart from the traditional religions. Nigeria is blessed with many natural resources, fortunately, the coming of the Europeans and Arabians had a heavy influence on the continent. Islam and Christianity brought good as well as bad things, like slavery in Nigeria. But the good outnumbers when we talk in terms of religion, educational and infrastructural development. 5 Youth Ministry There is powerful youth ministry in Nigeria; the youth had annual convention where all Claretian parishes gather all their youths for this exercise. 9 Bible Ministry (Pastoral de la Biblia) The bible ministry comprises of Bible Society in the parish where lay people come and study, know as the C.B.I.U group. We also have the Biblical training which the West Delegation are experts in. such as the enthronement of the bible in our different Claretian parishes. El ministerio de la biblia se compone de la Sociedad Bíblica en la parroquia donde los laicos van y estudian, que se llama grupo de CBIU. También tenemos el entrenamiento bíblico en la entronización de la Biblia en nuestras diferentes parroquias claretianas dado por la Delegación Oeste, que son los expertos en esos.

10 We are in collaboration with the Diocesan Peace and Justice Commission. However, we integrate it in our pastoral activities, applying the values of the Gospel to the problems of our parishioners. 13 CLARET WATER PROJECT This has been set up to help in our self sufficiency program, where we produce can water in improving our economy in the east province. Some programmes like piggery, fish pond, etc have been established in some of our different communities. The JDPC commissions are working for the creation of job and the integrity of the creation. 17 5. Lack of infrastructural, medical and educational facilities; many people are victims of killer diseases like HIV. Many women die of child birth and through contagious diseases like leprosy; are still killing the people. La falta de instalaciones de infraestructura, médicos y educativos 6. Religious formation and bigotry; some states in Nigeria like Boron and Yom be have been deserted by people because of Book Harem attacks. Even the capital city Abuja is not safe. It will take many years to restore peace and progress of these states. 18 This is one of the areas we have made a very significant impact. Our pioneer missioanaries did not waste time in this area of our mission. That today we have three finally professed members, Fr Timothy, Brother Robert, Fr.Fred and Rev. Pius Nandebe deacon elect. This is an eloquent testimony of the foresight and vision of our missionaries, Frs. Innocent Edoziem, Julius Ohiage, Perpetus Igwe, Rowland Onuekwusi, Patrick Ekeogu, Polycarp Ugwu and Late Fr Aloysious Chikwendu. Their work in our mission in East Africa especially in Mombasa speaks for itself. FORMATION / VOCATION PROMOTION

19 Shared mission would widen the horizon of our evangelization it brings the gospel to the door step in other words proclamation of the good news to the poor (kerygma) and make us actualize our call/ Claretian charisma, as servants of the word (diakonia). Also witnessing with our community way of life (matyria). A worshipping community (leiturgia)and building a basic Christian community and solidarity (koinonia) Jesus wishes to reconcile all things unto himself for the glory of God and salvation of entire creation.
