estar Estar means “to be” It is used for temporary situations. The verb “estar” is used to describe location, condition and action.

Acción Action – to indicate action in the present progressive (presente progresivo). –¿Qué está haciendo el señor en este momento? –Está jugando al fútbol. Presente progresivo is -ando, -iendo. jugar ~> jugando comer ~> comiendo vivir ~> viviendo
