5 Por & Para are both prepositions that mean the same thing in Spanish. However, they are used in different contexts: EX: Yo levanto pesas PARA ganar múscolos. EX: Ellos se pelean POR el oso de peluche.

34 Review of current reading strategies #1) Look at the title and make a prediction about the potential content of the story. Use context clues to guess the meaning of words that you dont know. You can still get the gist or main idea of the paragraph with a loose translation. #4) As you read, highlight or underline key words that might be important to the meaning of the story. #5) To avoid feeling overwhelmed, try to focus on reading one paragraph at a time. #6) After each paragraph make a mental note or write a note in the margin about the main idea of the paragraph. #7) Ask yourself after concluding the reading – what was the authors purpose?
