2 Use Possessive adjectives are used to show who owns something. Por ejemplo: Es mi libro. (It’s my book.) They can also be used to show relationships. Jorge es mi hermano. (George is my brother.)

3 mi / mis (my)nuestro/nuestra (our) nuestros / nuestras (our) tu / tus(your)vuestro / vuestra (your) su / sus (your – formal)vuestros / vuestras (your) su / sus(his / her)su / sus (their)

4 Cuidado As you can see, su / sus can mean several different things. It all depends on who is talking and who is the subject of the sentence. Use the singular (mi/tu/su/nuestro/vuestro/su) when what follows is singular. Use the plural (mis/tus/sus/nuestros/vuestros/sus) when what follows is plural. Yo tengo mi libro. VS. Yo tengo mis libros.

5 Nuestro / vuestro Mi / tu / su only have 2 forms: singular and plural. Nuestro/vuestro have 4 forms, just like many adjectives. NUESTRO is used if a MASC/SING noun follows, NUESTRA is a FEM/SING noun follows. NUESTROS is used if a MASC/PLU noun follows, NUESTRAS is used if a FEM/PLU noun follows.

6 Ejemplos Nuestro abuelo se llama Miguel. Nuestros padres son muy buenos. Nuestra tía tiene 49 años. Nuestras hermanas se llaman Catalina y Berta.
