Adverbs of Frequency -Use adverbs of frequency to say how often we do something. (Utiliza adverbios de frecuencia para decir con qué frecuencia realizamos algo) “I often do housework” “I always have toast and a coffee for breakfast” “ -Adverbs of frequency are: always (siempre),usually (normalmente) often (a menudo), sometimes (a veces), hardly ever(casi nunca), never (nunca). “I hardly never eat cheese” “I often drink water”.

Adverbs of frequency 1.-Adverbs of frequency go before the main verb. Eg. She always takes the train to go to work. “He usually goes to work by bus” 2.-Adverbs of frequency go after the verb to be. “He's always happy”.”He's sometimes late for work” 3.- Use a positive verb with “hardly ever” “never”. “She hardly ever drinks coffee”. It never rains.

ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY 4.-In negative sentences the adverb of frequency goes between don't/ doesn't and the verb. Eg. “She doesn't usually watch tv during the week”. 5.-Usually,sometimes, normally can be used at the beginning for emphasis: ”Sometimes, I get up late on Saturday” “Usually, I study English on Mondays and Wednesdays”

Expressions of frequency every day (cada día), every month(cada mes), once a week (una vez a la semana),twice a week (dos veces a la semana), Onceor twice a year(1 o 2 veces al año) They usually go at the end of a sentence. Eg. “He gets up very early every day”“He studies maths twice a week” Once(una vez)/twice (dos veces) are irregular. From 3, we use the word “times”: 3 times, 4 times, 10 times. Eg.”He does sport three times a week”
